Hi Liz, I have made them out of wool, machine knitting them rather than corcheting them as I needed them quickly. I am only crocheting the front half circles as they won't take long. I take it by the dowels you meant to weight the cap rather than shape it to the arm? Hope you can understand my ...

arm caps

Hi, I tried to post this the other day, but can't find! I have made arm caps for my 3 piece suite but as the arms, on the outside, slope inwards, I am having difficulty making the arms mould to the arms. 3 piece suite is leather, so can't attach anything. Tying hasn't worked. Can anyone make any ...

Hi Janet, that's brilliant! Thanks very much for looking. I don't expect you to part with it at all! I would like copies of the main bits if that's ok - setting up, what the different positions on the carriage are for, as well inc, dec as I'm not sure if these will be the same as in the Bond ...

Hi Janet, oh that would be brilliant if you find them. But please don't worry if you can't, you tried, that's all that matters. The Brother seems a better model than the Bond, and although I like the Bond (being my first time on a knitting machine) I was hoping to use the Brother as well. Looking ...

I don't have any experience but I know my local library had such a group. Perhaps leaflets place in a library, or perhaps ask library staff if anyone has been asking for such a group. Have you approached church members to see if they are interested or for contacts?

:D Hi, thanks Ros, for your help. I have rechecked, it is model KX 390. It's a shame I can't figure it out, as I don't want to throw it away. :?

BROTHER KNITTING MACHINE

Does anyone know where I can get instructions for the Brother Knitting machine KX 390 , preferably free or a copy off someone, who is kind enough to share? I was given the machine but it had no instructions. I have tried copying the set up I follow for my old Knitting machine (a Bond), but the ...

Hi Ros, how you doing? How's the beading coming on? I've not tried this yet! Been busy on the old knitting machine, making a jacket for winter! Will start a cotton crochet top this week, hopefully, once I've found a pattern or inspiration!
