Royal Mail Fraud Notice

Post by admin »

Trading Standards and Royal Mail have made us aware of a scam that is doing the rounds.

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on a Premium rate number. There may be other companies also doing this scam.

DO NOT call the number as this is a mail scam originating from Belize (and possibly other areas too).

If you call the number on the card and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed an extortionate amount for the phone call. People have been reporting calls that have cost £315.

If you do receive a card with these sort of details then please contact the Royal Mail Fraud department by calling their Customer Services number available on their website at www.royalmail.com.

Craft Bits only use Royal Mail First Class Post and Parcel Force for UK deliveries. We do not use couriers. Royal Mail should leave a card if you are out when they try to deliver your parcel. That card will be branded with Royal Mail or Parcel Force and should NOT have a Premium Rate number to call.

If you have any concerns please email us via our website.
