I have just about finished the new independent knitting forum.

It uses the same system as this but is a different colour.

It is completely empty with no members so please feel free to take a look, register and post.

I don't want to advertise it directly on DKY as I do want it to be as independent as possible. It will be interesting to see how quickly word of mouth can get it busy.

Really like the new forum's board colour I find the brown very restfull.

I agonised for hours on what colour to make it. I wanted it to be different from the other sites forum - this one is pink and blue, DKY is blue (if my memory serves me right ). I also wanted to keep away from green and yellow as the Craft Kits site is that colour.

I picked a nice colour then just keep lightening and darkening it to get all the other shades. I thought it might be a bit dull but I like 'restful' Janet

It's a fairly new forum so they tend to be a bit quiet after the initial flush.

I was hoping word of mouth would get it going a bit.

However the weather always makes a difference - you would be surprised at the drop off in sales when it is warm.

If there are any ways it can be improved please let me know.
