Hi

I have a question. I am unable to get white chunky wool at the moment and cannot order from Dianne due to the postal strike. I was wondering if I could use strands of DK wool to make it up to a chunky ply if that would work. My friend wants me to knit her a hat and she wants it by Friday.

Help! Can you help?

Hi Bee

How are you? well I hope....

You can double up your dk. Two strands will make a 16 ply which is chunky. Just check your tension and alter needles.....

Good luck

Hi Bee

You are probably well into your hat by now. I have made a thicker yarn like this which worked out fine. Good luck.

Hi Janet and Bee

I am always doing this for scarfs and hats you can blend colours Pink and black work really well together and the finish is unique. I also use different texture yarns to get different affects......
